Hi, I am Christina Graham with Rover Made Over (Mobile Dog Groomer).
I have been a dog groomer and/or vet tech for over 15 years. In those years I’ve seen dog vitamins that have been good and some potentially harmful to pets. In all my experience though, I have yet to come across a dog vitamin that has produced the results of NuVet Labs. Results that I have personally seen time and time again.
I created this website to help educate pet owners about the importance and selection of quality dog vitamins. So even if you chose not to use NuVet Labs, you’ll have the knowledge necessary to properly choose a quality dog vitamin.
To your pets health,
You Take YOUR Daily Vitamins – How About Your Dog?
You didn’t know that dogs need vitamin supplements?
Many people don’t.
But if you think about it, it makes sense.
We take vitamins because no matter how painstaking we are in planning our diet, it’s difficult to be certain that we’re getting ALL of the vitamins we need. And because we know just how vital the proper vitamins are to our health and well-being, we take supplements to assure that those needs are met.
Dogs are People too, you Know!
It’s no different for our dogs.
Why would it be? The nutrients and vitamins essential to health are necessary for all living creatures, not just humans.
In that respect, dogs ARE just like people.
And if you can’t be sure that you’re getting all of the vitamins you need from your diet, do you really think that your dog’s needs are fully met by its diet?
Of course not.
Regardless of the quality brand of food you are giving your dog, it does NOT contain ALL of the essential vitamins that your dog needs.
Vitamins ARE Essential
We don’t take vitamin supplements like we might take an aspirin to relieve a headache. Rather, we take vitamins to ensure that our bodies have the building blocks for long-term health and well-being. We take vitamins to PREVENT problems.
The same applies to your dog.
Though your dog may appear perfectly healthy and happy now, if it’s not currently receiving the proper balance and quality of nutrients it requires, long-term problems may await. By giving your dog vitamin supplements now, you may help to prevent problems in the future.
One of the most significant contributions vitamin supplements can make is in helping the body deal with Free Radicals.
You’ve heard of them, haven’t you? Those renegade oxygen molecules known as Free Radicals rampage through the body, mutating and even killing the body’s cells.
Damage from Free Radicals has been associated with more than 50 serious health problems, including:
• Heart Disease
• Premature Aging
The proper vitamins help to supply the body with Antioxidants, which work to keep Free Radicals in check.
There Isn’t Much You Wouldn’t do for Your Dog
If you’re like most dog owners, your dog isn’t just a dog. It’s more like one of the family. And because of that, you do all that you can to make sure you’re dog is healthy and happy.
You provide quality dog food, exercise, and veterinary care for your dog. It’s little enough in return for the unconditional love your dog gives your family.
So isn’t it great to know that there is one more thing you can do to help ensure a long, happy, and healthy life for your dog? And it’s such a simple thing, too.
We’d Like to Offer a Suggestion
If you want your dog to have the benefits of vitamin supplements, be careful to choose a brand that you can trust. You may be inclined to think that one supplement brand is as good as another, but unfortunately, that’s not the case.
In fact, one of the leading brands of dog vitamin supplements is loaded with sugar, corn syrup, and Kaolin.
Don’t know what Kaolin is? It’s clay; sometimes used as an insect repellant on crops. If you choose the right brand of vitamin supplements, you won’t have to worry that you’re feeding your dog clay (and who knows what else).
We’d like to suggest the NuVet Plus line of supplements.
Based upon our own research and personal experience, we’ve come to believe that NuVet Plus is the finest line of dog vitamin supplements available. So much so that NuVet is the ONLY supplement brand we endorse.
We’re not exactly alone in that opinion. NuVet is used by many of the world’s top dog breeders and groomers. And in 2009, readers of the world’s most widely read magazine for dog lovers, Dog Fancy, voted NuVet the best pet supplement.
Word of Caution: If you are looking for a cheap dog vitamin, NuVet is not it. You can buy cheap vitamins at any mega store.
NuVet is the best and highest quality dog vitamin supplement you can buy. As such it is more expensive. Tell me this though, how much is the health and longevity of your dog worth? To me it’s priceless.

You may think that as long as your dog isn’t sick, everything’s OK, right? After all, vitamins are vitamins, and dog food is already supplemented with vitamins and minerals. What more could my pet possibly need?
Fact) Dog food alone does not contain all the nutrients or nutrition that your dog needs. Next time you buy dog food, take a look at the ingredients listed on the back. Many people assume since its a brand name it is high quality, when in fact it may be of little or no value to your dog. Many commercial dog foods contain numerous by-products that can make them poisonous, toxic and incapable of reducing the devastating effects of unstable oxygen molecules, also known as “free radicals.” Free radicals have been implicated in more than fifty health problems in humans and animals including various forms of cancer, heart disease, seizures, arthritis, cataracts and premature aging.
Is there really a dog vitamin supplement on the market that will make a noticeable difference? Aren’t all vitamins and mineral supplements the same? Why even bother?
Fact) All dog vitamins and supplements are not created the same. Many are loaded artificial ingredients and an abundance of unnecessary sugars and fillers. In fact, take a look at the ingredients for one of the so called “leading” dog vitamins:
Wheat germ, KAOLIN, CORN SYRUP, liver meal, dicalcium phosphate, fish meal, SUCROSE, LACTOSE, safflower oil, gelatin, CORNSTARCH, stearic acid, niacinamide, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate, iron oxide and peptone, magnesium stearate, vitamin A acetate, zinc oxide, riboflavin, thiamine mononitrate, cobalt sulfate, potassium iodide, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin, manganese sulfate, vitamin D3 supplement, copper acetate monohydrate
*KAOLIN is aluminum silicate, otherwise known as “white clay”.
**Note all the different forms of SUGAR: corn syrup, sucrose, lactose, plus the addition of cornstarch.
Should a quality dog vitamin supplement contain any artificial ingredients or drugs of any kind?
Fact) A quality canine vitamin should in no way, shape or form be considered a drug of any kind. Be leery of any “vitamin” that contains an abundance of warnings on the label. A quality vitamin should provide the very best human grade, all natural ingredients available without any unnecessary fillers and additives.
Are vitamin antioxidants important for maintaining my dogs’ health and longevity?
Fact) Antioxidants are very important to the health and wellbeing of your dog. Antioxidants are vitamins, minerals and enzymes that protect the body from the damaging effects of free radicals. Antioxidants, which have healing properties, are found in certain vitamins and foods. The body manufactures a defense against free radicals in the form of antioxidants. However, there are more free radicals actively destroying the cell membrane than our body can defend against. This is where the antioxidants in good quality dog vitamins step in to assist the natural defense mechanism of the bodies. When the antioxidants are introduced into the body, there is a boosting of the immune system and a decrease in the ravages of free radicals.
Most humans are aware of the destructive power of free radicals and are now taking antioxidants, either in supplement form or by eating the proper types of food. If you enjoy a varied diet rich in fresh wholesome foods, you’re probably getting many of the basic nutrients you need. What do your pets eat? How fresh is the dog food that they eat? How much variety is in their diet compared to yours?
All I can say is that I am so thankful that I tried your product. I have an 8 month old German Shepherd-Rottweiler pup named Mishka. He is absolutely gorgeous and radiant and I know this can only be attributed to NuVet. Many of our neighbors have young dogs too but none of them are as alert, vibrant, and outwardly healthy like my dog. All our neighbors comment on how gorgeous his coat is and how alert and active he is.
NuVet is a fantastic product. I am sold for life.
What specific vitamins should a quality dog vitamin supplement contain?
